Every spring season is incomplete without celebrating Basant Panchami or Saraswati Puja, this festival occurs every year when the vivid yellow blossoms of ripe mustard plants bloom spreading a message that 'spring has arrived with a new energy'.
Numerous spring flowers, including daffodils, marigolds, night jasmine, yellow lilies and forsythia shrubs in India, yellow is the predominant color of Basant Panchami not only that the festival is celebrated in the honor of Goddess Saraswati who bestows the wealth of knowledge to all the students.
According to Hindu scriptures, it is believed that it was on Basant Panchami that Goddess Saraswati appeared from the mouth of her father Lord Brahma to spread the light of enlightenment in the entire universe.
People specially dress up in yellow color clothes to celebrate this auspicious festival, people from Punjab and Rajasthan love flying kites on this day. With Basant Panchami, it is believed that, it is a good time to harvest crops and this day is celebrated across the country with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm.
