Happy Daughter's Day Special!!

This blog is dedicated to all the wonderful daughter's out there keep shining and keep making your parents proud.
International Daughter's Day is celebrated to cherish the importance of daughters and reducing the stigma associated with the birth of a girl child in the society.
Parents all around the globe observe it to express joy and happiness of being blessed with a girl child, many patriarchal societies still view girl child inferior to male child so, the governments of some countries in order to encourage equality, decided to add daughter's day as an internationally acknowledged festival.
Significance of Daughter's Day -
The success behind this festival shows how times are changing people happily celebrate daughter's day, as this day usually falls on a Sunday so parents and daughters usually have a holiday.
Archies Limited invented International Daughter's Day they created the holiday to raise awareness and promoting the imbalance that daughters in some parts of India are considered a burden and inferior to sons.
Today, females in many rural and urban areas of India face female infanticide and are never valued by their family members the declining sex ratio is becoming a matter of concern many families do not prefer a girl child because she is always considered as a burden to the family. When a girl child is born she brings in happiness and good fortune for her family, but the son preference in India has made it difficult for daughters to survive.
"I am not a burden, don't kill me before I am born, I should be given the right to live freely, India is a land where Goddesses like Durga, Saraswati and Kali are worshipped but you cannot stop female infanticide?"
There are many daughter's in the Indian History who changed the phase of people's thinking and opinion some of the names are as follows-
1. Rani Laxmibai
2. Indira Gandhi
3. Pratibha Patil
4. Gunjan Saxena (the Kargil Girl)
5. Mary Kom
6. Sania Nehwaal
7. Geeta Phogat and Babita Phogat
8. P.T. Usha
9. P.V. Sindhu and the list goes on and on
In many rural areas of the country, the education of females is also taken lightly because some people think why to waste money on a girl child's education one day she has to get married and take responsibility of her family but, why don't we understand that 'if a women is educated then she can educate her entire family'.

Let's pledge to stop female infanticide and promote gender equality rather then gender gap let's save a girl child and make her life better and beautiful.

As per the scheme 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao', together let's work on this scheme and make it a reality we can make a difference when we practice it ourselves let's stand against the crimes taking place against women.
I hope you like this blog do share your valuable feedback!!
