Hello readers best wishes of Kargil Vijay Diwas to all of you , this day is celebrated all across India to honor the soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces who fought bravely to recapture the Kargil from Pakistani infiltrators .
Pakistani infiltrators had captured the Kargil outposts in winters during the year 1998 - 1999 , forcing India to launch operation Vijay the operation lasted for 60 days and ended on July 26 1999 . Every year honorable Prime Minister pays homage to the soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces at Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate .
This year , President Ram Nath Kovind will visit Drass to pay homage at the memorial which is located on the foot hills of Tololing . Finally on 26 July the Indian Soldiers hosted the National Flag at Kargil it is estimated that 527 Indian Soldiers died in the war while more than 1,300 were injured .

History of Kargil War :
Before the Partition of India in 1947 , Kargil was a part of Gilgit Baltistan , a region of diverse linguistic , ethnic and religious groups , to the many isolated valleys separated by some of the highest mountains . The First War in Kashmir resulted during 1947 - 1948 resulted in most regions of the Kargil and another remaining territory then after defeat of Pakistan in the Indo - Pakistani War of 1971 the strategic military posts , were also passed to the Indian territory .
