In a small village in Maharashtra, a boy named Vishal lived with his parents the family worked tirelessly to fulfill their basic necessities. Every year during Ganesh chaturthi, the entire village lit up with joy, music, and devotion, but Vishal could never afford to bring home his own Ganesha Idol he kept looking at other children how happily they decorated their homes.
One evening, while walking down the street, he noticed lumps on a soft clay by the other side of the street. An idea struck him he carefully collected the clay, brought it home, and tried to shape a little idol of Lord Ganesha.
His hands were clumsy, and the idol looked far from perfection the ears were uneven, the trunk was slightly crooked, and the belly was not round enough.
When his parents saw the idol, tears filled their eyes and they bowed before the idol with folded hands praying day and night offering whatever they could in front of the idol.
Vishal and his family were blessed next morning, they woke up to find a basket 🧺 of fresh sweets and fruits outside the door with a note which said: "For my dearest devotee." Nobody knew where it came from, but deep down Vishal knew that it was Bappa who accepted his love ❤️
Moral of the story: "True devotion lies in the way you approach Lord, not in perfection."
