The first ever emoji was created in 1999 by Shigetaka Kurtia , an engineer who was working at a Japanese mobile phone operator NTT DoCoMo's integrated mobile internet service ''i-mode'' debuting in February 1999. Further, in Yahoo messenger the oldest mainstream emoji was used in 2010, Unicode emoji was finalized.

The major aim and purpose of World Emoji Day is to promote the use of Emoji and the enjoyment they spread around us . In the year 2020 , more than 110 new emojis are added including Bubble Tea , Smiling Face with tear , bottle feeding parents .
In today's digital era , emojis have become a source of non verbal communication they are the outcome of the most recent evolution of human language as we all connect through electronic devices and social media .
