Jagannath Rath Yatra is organized by Jagannath Temple in Orissa , as per Hindu Calendar Jagannath Rath Yatra occurs every second year on the second day of Shukla Paksha during the month of Ashadha .
This year due to the pandemic restrictions Rath Yatra will take place without any devotees . Big chariots adore Krishna , Balram and Subhadra this year the chariots are made up of Neem trees .
The century long tradition of making Krishna ( Jagannath ) , Balram , Subhadra and they make a visit to their aunt's house which is known as the Gundicha Temple as per religious beliefs just by watching Rath Yatra one gets freedom from all kinds of sins and salvation is attained after death .
Who is Jagannath ??
Jagannath also a form of Lord Vishnu in Puri in the state of Orissa on the eastern coast of India . Jagannath , Baldeva and Subhadra are trio of deities worshipped together at this temple these statues of deities are carved from sacred neem logs known as Daru deities are also adored with different clothing and jewels according to the season .
The construction of the first Jagannath Temple was commissioned by King Indradyumna , son of Bharata and Sunada .

Fact 1: where ever you stand in Puri , the temple's Sudarshan Chakra above the temple will face you .
Fact 2: Not a single bird flies above the Jagannath Temple .
Fact 3: Any time of the day , the shadow of the main dome of the temple is never visible .
Fact4: Food which is cooked inside the temple never goes to waste and never gets over .
The land and Sea breezes in Puri always reverse direction than conventional breezes .

As per Skanda Purana Lord Jagannath redeems his devotees to take his Prasadam the temple's kitchen has got the capacity to for lakh of devotees . Mahaprasadam is cooked only in earthen pots and steam cooked food is offered to lord Jagannath . This maha prasadam is consumed by people of different castes and creeds without discrimination . Items include cooked rice , dal , vegetable curry , sweet dishes , cakes .
Dry confectionaries are prepared of sugar , gur , wheat floor , ghee , milk and cheese . No one goes hungry from here they fill their self with devotion and love .
It is the biggest festival and is famous among the devotees may Lord Jagannath shower his endless blessings upon you all .
