Life is an endless journey and we are travelers on an unwinding path called life, the will for travelling and exploring different places will be forever in our hearts.
Who started World Tourism Day??
The late Ignatius Amaduwa Atigbi, a Nigerian National, the one who freely proposed the idea of marking 27th September every year as World Tourism Day, he was finally recognized for his contribution in 2009.
What is the official color of World Tourism Day??
The official color of World Tourism Day is blue.
The purpose of World Tourism Day is to raise awareness on the importance of tourism, in affecting the socio-cultural, political and economic values of international community.
Who is the father of tourism??
Thomas Cook who was born on 22nd November, 1808, in Melbourne, Derbyshire, he was an English innovator of the conducted tour and founder of Thomas Cook which is a world wide travel agency Cook invented the modern tourism.

Since 1980, the United Nations World Tourism Organization has celebrated World Tourism Day this date was chosen because the Statutes of the UNTWO were adopted. The adoption of these Statutes is considered as a milestone in global tourism and it is celebrated with great interest by many organizations, tourism enterprises, non- profit organizations and also many government agencies.
Each year, The World Tourism Day is celebration is organized in multiple ways and shades, every country celebrates this day in it's own unique way.

Due to the pandemic, travel and tourism industry has incurred huge amount of losses and has caused 38 million job losses and created depression among the workers of the travel and tourism industry.
