YOGA IS FOR ENRICHMENT 🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️

The International Yoga Day is celebrated annually on 21st June since 2015, following its inception in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014. Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice which originated in India by our Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly on September 27 in the year 2014.
Prime Minister's Speech -
"Yoga is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well -being . It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help in well being. Let us work towards adopting an International Yoga Day."
According to the Vedic scriptures Lord Shiva is considered to be the originator of yoga he is said to be Adi yogi, the first yogi.
On 11th December 2014, India's Permanent Representative Asoke Mukherji introduced the draft resolution in the United Nations General Assembly. The draft text received broad support from 177 Member States who sponsored the text, which was adopted without a vote.
Current Celebrations of Yoga Day in India -
Along with 15,000 fitness enthusiasts, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leading a mass Yoga event at Mysuru Palace grounds in Karnataka on the occasion of International Yoga Day . The theme for this year's Yoga Day is 'Yoga for Humanity'.
Indian Navy Personnel, led by Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar, performed yoga on the International Yoga Day, Navy Vice Chief Vice Admiral Dinesh Tripathi were also present, Indian Navy officials said.
Gujrat CM Bhupendra Patel and Union Minister of State for Finance Dr. Bhagwat Karad led a crowd of nearly 7,500 people in performing yoga at Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad on the occasion of International Yoga Day.
The easternmost deployed Indian Naval Warship, INS Satpura, operating near the International Dateline in the middle of Pacific Ocean, kick - started the Indian Navy's International Day of Yoga by conducting the Common Yoga Protocol at sea.
